Important! Please keep your ticket number handy ticket and present at the time of pick-up of your computer or quote the number when you call or email us. This helps us identify your account more quickly.

Data loss:

Please be advised that while nothing will be done by our technicians to purposely cause loss of data and files from your computer, mechanical failure of computer components can happen without warning, and virus infections can cause unpredictable problems.

If you have important information on your computer such as family pictures or financial records, and wish to minimise your risk of data loss, please inquire about our back up services which can be performed before intensive diagnostic tests or virus scans are performed.

Although very rare, data loss can sometimes be simply unavoidable. Zen Computers Ltd accept no liability implied or expressed, for your data. You are solely responsible for the backup of your files.

Zen Computer Shop will always endeavour to keep your data safe, however data backups are solely the customers responsibility.

Assessment Charges:

An assessment charge of £20 (Inc VAT) is applicable on all jobs if the quote is refused by the customer. Work executed from the quote provided will mean that the £20 (Inc VAT) assessment charge is waived.

Warranties:

All labour is warrantied for 90 days. All new parts used are warrantied for 12 months. All refurbished parts used are warrantied for 90 days.

Operating System Reinstallation:

If the Operating System Reload Service is required, you will be contacted first by us before we perform the service. Zen Computer Shop will always endeavour to keep your data safe, however data backups are solely the customers responsibility.

An Operating System Reload requires that the computer hard drive be formatted and erased before reinstalling the Operating System software. An Operating System reload also requires that you reinstall all printer drivers, and additional computer programs you may have installed since the original purchase of the computer.

We cannot restore computer programs from backup as part of our normal Workshop repair. eg Microsoft Office and your anti virus software. They must be re-installed from their original sources or a new license purchased if no legacy license can be produced for us to use. We do offer additional IT Professional Services if you require in-depth and granular application recovery.

Timescale:

Feel free to call us to check on the status of your computer any time. Most repairs take 1-3 business days to complete. Sometimes parts can take three working days to arrive so please bear this in mind. We will always try to maintain great communication with our customers.

Your Personal Data:

Zen Computers Ltd is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to provide a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. If you have any questions related to our GDPR compliance, please contact our Data Protection Officer or make a Data Subject Access Request via email to our Directors.

Our customer records are held on a CRM server with a very high level of security. Your data is held strictly for the use of Zen Computers Ltd for the purposes of contacting you about ongoing work. We will NEVER sell, pass on, or use your data for any other reason. We do not use your email or phone number for any marketing purposes.

Abandoned Computers:

Abandoned computers that are diagnosed as unrepairable or not cost effective for repair, or abandoned and left with the invoice unsettled for more than 30 days by the customer will become the property of Zen Computers Ltd to be disposed of at our sole discretion.

Any repaired computers must be collected in a reasonable time not longer than 30 days and invoices settled within 7 days of the close of the call. It is the customers responsibility to verify that we have the correct contact information on file which also appears printed on the job ticket.
