Technician / Shop Assistant Job Description

  • Assist in all aspects of running the shop front, customer facing, sales
  • Assist in workshop when required
  • Report to Shop Manager and manage own workload
  • Accurately communicate both digitally and verbally with colleagues
  • Source parts from suppliers for customers and take responsibility for returns when required
  • Keep all areas of shop clean and tidy
  • Salary dependent on experience

Technician / Shop Assistant Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Prompt and reliable
  • Good technical abilities; ability to find working solutions using the net
  • An eye for detail
  • Willingness to complete online training courses provided by Zen Computer Shop

Technician / Shop Assistant Desirable Skills

  • Hardware  / Board level repair of motherboards and other PCB
  • Good software skills, quick learner
  • Windows OS (all)
  • Mac Hardware and software troubleshooting and repair
  • Server and network infrastructure awareness
  • Tablet and Smartphone repair

About Us

Zen Computer Shop opened its doors in late summer 2016. Since then we have gone from strength to strength growing our business and increasing our staff. Broadly speaking there are three branch of our core business: 1. Shop sales and repairs. 2. Business IT Support and 3. Software and Web Design. For the right candidate, experience of all the above will be available with in house and formal training provided.

The working environment here are Zen is dynamic and energetic! All our staff are passionate about the work we do here and our work ethic is one we are proud of. Zen is a growing company and, we would argue a very good place to work. Our second shop premises opens for business in March 2019 and our business support clients continue to grow in numbers.
